50 Years of VUB

In 2019-2020, the Vrije Universiteit Brussel celebrates its 50th anniversary. On the occasion of this anniversary, CAVA and the Marketing, Communication and Events Service of the VUB have together launched a celebratory website. CAVA is responsible for the participatory and historical part of this website, 'Back in time'.

Throughout the year, we look back at the origins and evolution of our Alma Mater. To this end, CAVA collects great stories, funny anecdotes, fun facts and cool videos and photos. Alumni, professors, personnel, researchers and students are all invited to share their stories with the entire VUB community.

Anything that has to do with the VUB and life on and around the campuses is welcome. From that unforgettable professor to your vibrant student life. From your first lesson in the anatomical theatre to the occupation of building M. From that special student to that Eureka feeling during your research. From that unforgettable experience during your Erasmus exchange to that memorable TD in the BSG. From your first Saint Verhaegen to your first (or last) working day at the VUB.
