CAVA wants to be a hub for the secular humanist heritage community and for the heritage community of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. We play a brokerage role in order to encourage and increase the use of the archives of these communities.

CAVA also functions as a partner of and lab for the interuniversity ManaMa course Archivistiek, Erfgoedbeheer en Hedendaags Documentbeheer.
