Participation
Over two hundred years ago British philosopher, jurist and social reformer Jeremy Bentham (1748-1832) wrote down the words: "Many hands / make light work / Many hands together / make merry / work". Volunteers and citizen scientists do remarkable work and add much value in the cultural heritage sector.
CAVA sees volunteer work as a welcome addition to the activities of its regular work force and is convinced that a qualitative and sustainable volunteer programme means added value, both for us and for our volunteers.
CAVA is also convinced of the fact that citizen science and crowdsourcing can lead to wonderful results: involving citizens in scientific projects creates true interaction.
